A pensioner has suffered a head injury and been rushed to hospital after an attack at a Birmingham<\/a> beauty spot.<\/p>\n The incident took place at Banners Gate in Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield<\/a> on Wednesday (June 18).<\/p>\n Several witnesses reported a \u2018group of aggressive girls\u2019 hitting an \u2018old lady\u2019 in the park off Monmouth Drive shortly after 7.30pm.<\/p>\n Read more: Police called to town centre fight as \u2018man attacked woman\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n One witness said the police and ambulance service were called.<\/p>\n A woman in her 70s was said to have suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital<\/p>\n The incident is said to have taken place near to the play area, with the girls involved said to have been in that play area at one stage.<\/p>\n Read more: Asda thief sat on man and kissed him in car park before stealing gold chain<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Another witness said: \u201cI witnessed this too and thought it was disgusting.<\/p>\n \u201cShouting in front of my daughter, and other children. Disgusting behaviour.<\/p>\n \u201cSaw the older women on the floor at one point.
