King Charles and Queen Camilla were the only royals to ride in the carriage procession during the fourth day of the horse racing event<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Princess Eugenie<\/a> made sure to dip into a deep curtsy when King Charles<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Queen Camilla<\/a> arrived at Royal Ascot’s fourth day of races.<\/p>\n The King, 76, and Queen, 77, arrived at the event on Friday, June 20, in the royal carriage procession<\/a>. Although no members of the royal family joined that day’s traditional parade<\/a> to the race grounds, plenty were inside and ready to greet the couple.<\/p>\n Eugenie \u2014 who was spotted with her husband, Jack Brooksbank \u2014 was among the attendees, and she was photographed saying hello to Queen Camilla with a low curtsy. Even King Charles’ own children follow suit, and\u00a0Prince William<\/a> has often been seen bowing to greet his father and stepmother.<\/p>\n Despite the tradition of bowing and curtsying, Charles and Camilla often take a less formal approach and greet family members with kisses or hugs. However, about 20 minutes later, it was revealed that\u00a0Princess Kate would not attend the event<\/a>, and a corrected list was quickly distributed.<\/p>\n PEOPLE understands that despite a change being made to the royals’ attendance, an inaccurate carriage listing was mistakenly initially issued by Royal Ascot.
