It&#8217;s believed financial figures were included, but the initial proposal has been rejected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The bid, first reported by <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6440400\/2025\/06\/20\/gareth-bale-cardiff-city-takeover\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">The Athletic<\/a> on Friday evening, comes days after a Bale-led US consortium were linked with interest in acquiring Plymouth Argyle. <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/C7QBdMA45pND02kwnBoABC\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Join the Cardiff City breaking news and top stories WhatsApp community<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It&#8217;s understood Cardiff bosses are not currently expecting a renewed offer for the club, although things could change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Current owner Vincent Tan has pledged his commitment to the Bluebirds going forward but has always said he would consider offers at the right price.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Cardiff-born Bale ended his playing career in January 2023, shortly after captaining Wales at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
