UFC\u2019s Dana White was nowhere to be seen at the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford press conference.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After decades of overseeing the Octagon, the UFC CEO is now set to take on the boxing world later this year.<\/p>\n

On Sep. 13, the face of boxing, Canelo Alvarez<\/a>, will face off against Terence Crawford<\/a> in a boxing super-fight\u2014streaming live to millions on Netflix.<\/p>\n

Saudi sponsor Turki Alalshikh confirmed Dana White as the promoter<\/a> for the upcoming boxing match as the two work together on a new boxing league<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The first press conference between Crawford and Canelo went down on Friday with Alalshikh in attendance but no White<\/a> in sight.<\/p>\n

White recently said he had the honor of promoting a \u2018once-in-a-lifetime fight\u2019 in Canelo vs. Crawford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

White was in between Canelo and Crawford for their first faceoff in May.<\/p>\n

With White\u2019s no-show at the press conference, Alalshikh faced off the boxing stars the second time around in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

White reposted the Canelo vs. Crawford face off on his social media, and the UFC followed suit by streaming the press conference live on their YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

The UFC CEO also no-showed the UFC 316 press conference<\/a> earlier this month in Newark, New Jersey, with fans insisting White is \u2018done\u2019 being a promoter after so many years.<\/p>\n

Boxing superstar Ryan Garcia<\/a> says boxing will never be the same with Netflix turning a corner for the sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Canelo vs Crawford being on Netflix It might mean that my fight with Gervonta [Davis] might be the last PPV fight to hit 1 million,\u201d Garcia wrote on X.<\/p>\n
