Leeds United and Spurs are in a handful of transfer battles this summer. But it looks like the North Londoners have just won one of them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds United<\/a> will go up against Spurs in the Premier League next season after Daniel Farke<\/a> guided the Whites towards the Championship title last season.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s since been a horde of players linked with Leeds United this summer<\/a> and there\u2019s a number of them who\u2019ve also been linked with a move to Tottenham.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been reported that Leeds United and Spurs want to sign James McAtee<\/a> from Man City this summer, with the England U21s man looking set to leave the Etihad after struggling for game time in 2024\/25.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, both Leeds and Spurs have been linked with Greek full-back Georgios Vagiannidis at Panathinaikos<\/a>. Leeds in particular need full-backs this summer and another on their radar is Kyle Walker-Peters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A former Spurs man himself, Tottenham are also linked with Walker-Peters who is set to leave Southampton as a free agent following their relegation from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Walker-Peters has been a key transfer target for Leeds United<\/a> since the start of the year. He\u2019s someone who can operate on both flanks and he\u2019s also someone with Premier League pedigree, earning praise last season despite his Southampton side\u2019s terrible showing in the league.<\/p>\n

But in what is surely a cruel blow for Farke, it\u2019s now being reported that Walker-Peters is open to a return to Spurs, who are set to make checks on the 28-year-old later in the summer transfer following the appointment of Thomas Frank at Tottenham. Leeds then have time to pull off a deal for the former England man.<\/p>\n

Football.london<\/a> write that \u2018Spurs have considered a move later in the window\u2019 for Walker-Peters. The same report adds that \u2018Walker-Peters would be keen on a return to his boyhood club\u2019 having come through the youth ranks at Spurs, making 24 total appearances before leaving permanently for Southampton in 2020.<\/p>\n

With Junior Firpo set to join Real Betis on a free transfer<\/a>, the need for new full-backs, especially a left-back, is becoming very pressing for Leeds United.<\/p>\n

One name linked with that left-back spot is Hugo Bueno. And recent reports in Spain revealed how Leeds United remain in the race to sign Bueno<\/a> from Wolves this summer, along with Feyenoord, though Wolves look as though they\u2019ll keep the Spaniard after selling Rayan Ait-Nouri to Man City.<\/p>\n

Other names linked with a move to Elland Road<\/a> in the last few weeks include Atletico Madrid\u2019s departing left-back Reinildo Mandava as well as another former Spurs youngster in Japhet Tanganga.<\/p>\n
