KING Charles has wished his son Prince William a happy 43rd birthday.<\/p>\n

The Monarch and Queen Camilla shared a sweet unseen photograph of his eldest son to mark the special occasion today.<\/p>\n

It was captioned: \u201cHappy Birthday to the Prince of Wales!”.<\/p>\n

King Charles shared the image, of Wills sitting against a countryside backdrop, on the official Royal Family Instagram platform.<\/p>\n

Last year the Royal Family shared an adorable baby photograph of\u00a0William\u00a0in his father’s arms.<\/p>\n

The Monarch shared a heartwarming picture showing the prince perched on his lap as a tot.<\/p>\n

In the touching black-and-white snap, Charles looked lovingly at his son, who is also brimming with joy.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Princess Kate shared an adorable snap of the Prince with their children.<\/p>\n

The royal posted a never-before-seen picture of Wills and their adorable little trio on a beach outing.<\/p>\n

The fun action shot showed\u00a0Princess Charlotte,\u00a0Prince Louis<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Prince George\u00a0holding hands as they leap from a sand dune.<\/p>\n

Kate wrote a heartwarming message alongside the snap, which she took herself, it read: “Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much! Cx”<\/p>\n

It was uploaded on The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account.<\/p>\n

This comes after Prince William was spotted putting on a brave face in Princess Kate’s absence at Royal Ascot this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The dad-of-three appeared relaxed as he drank beer and joked with fellow royals.<\/p>\n

He was seen greeting others in the grandstand and cheering on horses and jockeys during a sunny day two of racing.<\/p>\n

Other\u00a0royals in attendance<\/a>\u00a0at this year’s Ascot included King Charles and Queen Camilla, who were spotted cheering on from the Royal Box, and Sarah Ferguson, alongside her daughter Princess Beatrice.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales, 43, pulled out of her only appearance at the glitzy event on Wednesday as aides balance her return to full time duty after her cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

But she returned to work writing a personal message to mark the end of Children’s Hospice Week.<\/p>\n

Kate is Royal Patron of East Anglia Children\u2019s Hospices (EACH), and in January this year became the Royal Patron of T\u0177 Hafan Children\u2019s Hospice in South Wales.<\/p>\n

In a letter shared in social media she wrote: “No parent expects to hear that their child has a serious health condition that could shorten their life.<\/p>\n

“Sadly, this is the reality faced by thousands of families across the country, leaving them heart-broken, fearful of the future and often desperately isolated.<\/p>\n

“Being able to access the support of one of the UK\u2019s 54 children\u2019s hospices means they don\u2019t have to face that future alone.<\/p>\n

“As\u00a0Patron\u00a0<\/a>of East Anglia\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospices and T\u0177 Hafan Children\u2019s Hospice in South Wales, I have the immense privilege of seeing for myself the extraordinary work of our children\u2019s hospices.<\/p>\n

“Lifting spirits through laughter, fun and play, as well as listening, holding, caring and sharing, they support children and families through life, death and beyond.<\/p>\n

“This Children\u2019s Hospice Week, I hope you will join me in celebrating the life-changing work they do and thanking them for the vital care they provide to children and families experiencing the most challenging times.”<\/p>\n

Kate also pulled out of her\u00a0Royal Ascot<\/a>\u00a0appearance last Wednesday.<\/p>\n

She was listed as arriving in the carriage procession with Prince William, however, moments later, the palace revealed that the mother-of-three had to drop out last minute to continue with her recovery.<\/p>\n

It is understood that Kate was “disappointed” not to go but has “to find the right balance” on returning to full time duty.<\/p>\n

Since announcing in January she is in\u00a0remission<\/a>, the princess has been gradually returning to public duties.<\/p>\n

Recent days have seen her attend Trooping the Colour and Order of the Garter, as well as making a visit to V&A East Storehouse last week.<\/p>\n

However, it is understood that Kate is trying to find the balance as she fully returns to public-facing engagements that have featured an element of flexibility since her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.<\/p>\n
