\n\tWarner Bros. and Legendary\u2019s \u201cA Minecraft Movie<\/a>\u201d held onto the top spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office for a second straight weekend, building on its record-breaking debut with another \u00a37.2 million ($9.3 million), according to Comscore. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film has now amassed $40.1 million, cementing its place as the year\u2019s box office behemoth so far.<\/p>\n

\n\tDisney\u2019s espionage thriller \u201cThe Amateur<\/a>\u201d was the strongest new opener of the weekend, landing at No. 2 with $1.4 million. Universal\u2019s \u201cSix the Musical\u201d continued its chart-topping stage-to-screen success, earning $1.1 million in its second weekend and has a running total of $5 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tOne of the weekend\u2019s standout performances came from \u201cAndre Rieu\u2019s 75th Birthday Celebration: The Dream Continues,\u201d from Piece Of Magic Entertainment. The two-day-only concert film waltzed into fourth place with $771,116, a robust showing for an event cinema release celebrating the beloved Dutch violinist and conductor\u2019s milestone year.<\/p>\n

\n\tDisney\u2019s \u201cSnow White<\/a>\u201d dropped to fifth in its fourth week, collecting $530,944 to bring its total to $11.8 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s thriller \u201cDrop\u201d opened in sixth with $494,969, while Trafalgar Releasing\u2019s faith-based \u201cThe Chosen: The Last Supper \u2013 Episodes 1 & 2\u201d followed in seventh with $331,857, adding to a running total of $552,658. <\/p>\n

\n\tNew entry, Ajith Kumar<\/a> vehicle \u201cGood Bad Ugly\u201d from DJ Tech LTD landed in eighth with $327,016, marking another strong regional performance for South Asian cinema in the U.K. and Ireland.<\/p>\n

\n\tEntertainment Film Distributors\u2019 \u201cDeath of a Unicorn\u201d was in ninth with $231,779 in its second weekend, lifting its cumulative total to $1.3 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 \u201cA Working Man\u201d rounded out the top 10 with $168,506, pushing its total to $2.2 million after three weeks.<\/p>\n

\n\tA broad mix of new titles hits U.K. and Ireland cinemas this week going into the Easter bank holiday weekend. Wednesday, April 16 sees Sony release \u201cKaiju No. 8: Mission Recon,\u201d the latest anime feature adapted from the popular manga series. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thursday, April 17, Ceema Entertainment debuts \u201cMy Love Will Make You Disappear,\u201d a romantic comedy headlined by popular Philippines pair Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino. Also arriving midweek is \u201cNeil Young: Coastal,\u201d a music documentary directed by Daryl Hannah and distributed by Trafalgar Releasing. <\/p>\n

\n\tFriday, April 18 ushers in a slate of diverse new titles. Warner Bros. leads with phantasmagorical horror \u201cSinners.\u201d Lionsgate U.K. delivers two new releases: \u201cThe Penguin Lessons,\u201d a heartfelt adaptation based on Tom Michell\u2019s memoir of rescuing a penguin in 1970s Argentina, headlined by Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce, and \u201cFreaky Tales,\u201d a genre-blending story set in 1980s Oakland featuring interconnected vignettes, starring Pedro Pascal. <\/p>\n

\n\tModern Films releases \u201cBlue Road: The Edna O\u2019Brien Story,\u201d a documentary that explores the life and literary legacy of the celebrated Irish author. <\/p>\n

\n\tA24 releases Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza\u2019s \u201cWarfare,\u201d where a harrowing 2006 Navy SEAL mission in Ramadi, Iraq, comes to brutally authentic life. <\/p>\n

\n\tAlso arriving this week is the 20th anniversary reissue of \u201cWallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit,\u201d the Oscar-winning stop-motion classic from Aardman. brought back to the big screen by Park Circus. <\/p>\n

\n\tRounding out the week is Bollywood patriotic film \u201cKesari Chapter 2,\u201d headlined by Akshay Kumar and R.
