The BBC has released a new trailer for Such Brave Girls<\/a> ahead of the upcoming second season. <\/p>\n

The sitcom<\/a>, written by Kat Sadler, follows single mother Deb Johnson (Louise Brealey<\/a>) as she and her daughters, Josie (Sadler) and Billie (Lizzie Davidson), try to navigate their chaotic lives.<\/p>\n

The series hit our screens back in 2023 and was renewed for a second instalment earlier this year. Now, the BBC<\/a> has unveiled a trailer on YouTube<\/a>, teasing even more hilarious mishaps from the troublesome trio.<\/p>\n

Featuring embarrassing abductions, bizarre car accidents and some home-based destruction, the upcoming season promises a range of awkward moments when the girls return with the six-part season on 3 July.<\/p>\n

The trailer features appearances from the three lead actors, while also confirming the return of Deb’s boyfriend Dev (Paul Bazely) and Seb (Freddie Meredith), Josie’s dedicated partner.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, fans can rewatch season one of Such Brave Girls, which currently boasts a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> from 20 reviews. In the site’s critical consensus, the series was described as “painfully funny” and a “spiky showcase” for the central trio.<\/p>\n

“Such Brave Girls is dark, messy, and full of precisely the kind of pathos that keeps you laughing as you wince,” wrote TIME Magazine<\/a>, while The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> described it as a “hilarious slice of family dysfunction”. <\/p>\n

The critically acclaimed series was similarly praised by viewers on IMDb<\/a> as one described it as “easy watching and bingeworthy”, with several viewers noting the “incredibly sharp” writing. <\/p>\n

“Such Brave Girls is definitely one of the best British comedies in recent years. The writing is strong and the performances hit the mark without fail,” wrote one fan, with another remarking that it was “down and dirty and very real”.<\/p>\n

A third said: “This script is incredibly sharp, with very few wasted words or predictable lines. The dialogue seems to go from one ridiculous and funny line to the next. And there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments in every episode.”<\/p>\n
