A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car in Stockport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called out to Lower Bents Lane, in Bredbury, at 10.20pm last night (June 20).<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says it was called out to reports of a collision involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian, near to The Greyhound pub.<\/p>\n

It’s believed the car was heading in the direction of Redhouse Lane when the incident took place.<\/p>\n

The pedestrian, a 23-year-old man, was rushed to hospital from the scene.<\/p>\n

He remains in a life-threatening condition this morning (Saturday) and his family are being supported, GMP says.<\/p>\n

Officers are now urging any witnesses – or anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage – to come forward as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Information can be passed on to GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit by calling 101, quoting log 4082 of June 20, 2025.<\/p>\n
