{"id":202301,"date":"2025-06-21T10:31:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-21T10:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/202301\/"},"modified":"2025-06-21T10:31:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-21T10:31:10","slug":"watch-manchester-art-gallery-unveils-new-contemporary-artwork-collection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/202301\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch: Manchester Art Gallery unveils new contemporary artwork collection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new collection of contemporary artwork has gone on display at the Manchester Art Gallery this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Eight pieces of art were purchased by the Gallery with the help of The Manchester Contemporary Art Fund, a philanthropic fund that enables the gallery to buy new pieces of artwork to add to their permanent collection.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s additions included:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The grease marks left by a passenger\u2019s hair on the bus by Jack Brown<\/li>\n<li>Model Village (2024) by Angelina May Davis<\/li>\n<li>Rest after weariness (2023) by Sophie Dickinson<\/li>\n<li>Adams Hill &amp; Untitled by Lewis Graham<\/li>\n<li>Jive Ass Jim Crow Gotta Go (2022) &amp; Being Watched By The Overseer (2022) by Dapper Bruce Lafitte<\/li>\n<li>Untitled.
