weather<\/a> graced large parts of the country over the last few days.<\/p>\nNow, the Met Office has forecast thunderstorms and has issued a ten-hour yellow thunderstorm warning which comes into effect at 5pm on Saturday, June 21.<\/p>\n
The warning reads: “Thunderstorms may cause some impacts in places on Saturday evening and night.” And those impacts include possible floods, power cuts, spray and flooding on roads, and delays and cancellations to bus and train services depending on lightning strikes.<\/p>\n

Yellow weather warnings are the least severe of the Met Office alerts, which also includes amber and red warnings, and can be issued for a wide range of weather phenomena including rain, snow, hail, fog among others.<\/p>\n
As well as Greater Manchester and north west England, other areas affected by the warning includes East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber, parts of Scotland, Wales, and the West Midlands.<\/p>\n
Despite cloud cover and imminent thunderstorms, the temperature is set to peak at 29C at around 5pm, with very humid conditions throughout the day.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, June 22, the temperature is set to peak at a milder 22C in Greater Manchester, with cloud cover throughout most of the day.<\/p>\n

The Met Office thunderstorm warnings comes into effect at 5pm on Saturday, June 21, lasting for ten hours until 3am on Sunday morning – so thunderstorms can hit anytime during those ten hours.<\/p>\n
