A Liverpool McDonald\u2019s is said to be among the worst of the fast-food chain\u2019s UK offerings. A new study has revealed the lowest-rated venues up and down the country, based on the franchise locations with the biggest percentage of one-star ratings.<\/p>\n
The research, conducted by QR Code Generator<\/a>, looked at the percentage of one-star Google reviews for all McDonald\u2019s in the UK, totalling over 1,400 restaurants, to reveal which sites placed where.<\/p>\n The Liverpool ECHO<\/a> reached out to McDonald\u2019s for a comment. However, the brand declined to comment. Among the 20 locations with the highest percentage of one-star reviews are six London locations and four in Greater Manchester.<\/p>\n However, only one Scottish location makes the list, while franchise locations in Wales and Northern Ireland do not rank among the \u2018worst\u2019 rated in the UK.<\/p>\n According to the analysis, Chingford Fountain McDonald\u2019s in Northeast London is the lowest-rated McDonald\u2019s in the UK. The fast-food outlet recorded 36.49% of all reviews giving the outlet a one-star review.<\/p>\n The analysis claims this \u201cis the highest proportion of one-star reviews of all locations nationwide\u201d. Overall, the outlet has a Google rating of just 2.8 out of 5.<\/p>\n The analysis adds that in second place is Sydenham in Southeast London, with 34.05% of reviews being just one star. It claims that less than a quarter of users left five-star reviews at this McDonald\u2019s franchise and a Google rating of 2.9.<\/p>\n However, according to the analysis, for some of the best-rated locations in the country, more than half of the reviews are five-star and have a rating of over 4 out of 5 on Google.<\/p>\n Closer to home, the only Merseyside-based McDonald\u2019s to make the list is Page Moss. The analysis shows that the Knowsley<\/a> venue is in sixth place with just over 30% of its Google reviews being one-star.<\/p>\n The ECHO previously reported how this venue had to apologise after complaints of an “awful stink” after “apple pie, milkshakes and all sorts of s****” were dumped outside the restaurant. Only Greggs is favoured more than the double arches among millennials, highlighting many young Brits\u2019 favour for affordable, on-the-go bites.<\/p>\n \u201cHowever, just because each McDonald\u2019s restaurant bears the famous name, it may not mean all are equal in the eyes of customers, as our results suggest. Customer satisfaction appears to vary widely across the nation.”<\/p>\n The analysis comes just after the fast-food titan released a new menu this week. As part of this, came a never-before-seen UK item in the form of a the \u201crich and creamy\u201d Big Arch burger<\/a>.
