Gordon Ramsay has opened up about a very unexpected moment during the birth of his son Oscar – fainting in the delivery room.<\/p>\n

The celebrity chef, 58, revealed the incident recently while appearing on the Smartless podcast, admitting it was the first time he had ever witnessed one of his children being born.<\/p>\n

For the births of their first four children – Megan, 26, twins Jack and Holly, 25, and Tilly, 23 – his wife, Tana, 50, insisted he stay out of the room. <\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, she said, \u2018I want my mum and your mum in there, you\u2019re not going to see me in that state, that side of the curtain, get out of there\u2019,\u201d Ramsay explained. \u201cThat was her decision and I had to respect that decision.\u201d<\/p>\n

What started as a beautiful moment quickly turned chaotic when the chef fainted while holding his newborn son. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I did finally arrive in the theatre for our fifth baby I f****** collapsed like a wimp! I blacked out holding Oscar in the air,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n

Ramsay recalled the scene, saying, \u201cHe was coming through the sun roof so there was a lot of commotion going on. They said, \u2018What do you want to listen to?\u2019 So I said, \u2018Can you play Ed Sheeran?\u2019 <\/p>\n

“So they started playing Ed, they turned up the volume, I can hear all these noises, all of a sudden I see two more doctors dive in, I look to the floor and there was blood everywhere. They popped him out and then they came straight over to me and I went, \u2018Woah, woah, s***.\u2019 I sat back and I collapsed like a f****** idiot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since that memorable experience, the Ramsays have welcomed another baby, making their family complete. <\/p>\n

In November 2023, Ramsay announced the arrival of their sixth child, Jesse James Ramsay. <\/p>\n

The chef posted a heartwarming photo of himself kissing the newborn\u2019s head while Tana held the baby. \u201cWhat an amazing birthday present. 3 boys, 3 girls… Done,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

Tana, too, announced the news expressing how grateful the family felt. \u201cIt’s been a nerve\u2011wracking 9 months but we’ve made it and we have been blessed with this little bundle. Ramsay family definitely complete. Jesse James Ramsay we love you so much,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Although the couple kept the pregnancy a secret, it came as a surprise for many.<\/p>\n

Just a few months prior, Ramsay had confessed that he felt \u201cunder pressure\u201d from Tana to have another child. \u201cI’ve got a little secret\u2026 Tana wants another one,\u201d he said on the Dish podcast. <\/p>\n

But he admitted that he felt too old to be a father again. \u201cIt’s like going to school, going out for dinner in two buses. And secondly, I’m going to be the oldest f***er at school. \u2018Who’s your grandad?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
