EastEnders<\/a> has officially confirmed the return of Oscar Branning<\/a>, who is set to stage a comeback to Walford after an eight-year absence. <\/p>\n The character, who was born on screen in 2007, is the son of\u00a0Max<\/a>\u00a0(Jake Wood<\/a>) and\u00a0Tanya Branning<\/a>\u00a0(Jo Joyner<\/a>). <\/p>\n His comeback is set in motion in upcoming scenes when Lauren Branning<\/a> (Jacqueline Jossa<\/a>) receives a call. <\/p>\n The exact reason for why Oscar comes back to the Square remains shrouded in mystery but let\u2019s just say that Lauren\u2019s world is subsequently turned upside down. <\/p>\n Trouble isn\u2019t too far away where Oscar is concerned, with tense scenes to confirmed upon his return<\/a>, which will air on-screen next month. <\/p>\n Pierre Moullier, who is taking over the role of Oscar, branded his casting on EastEnders \u2018pretty surreal\u2019. <\/p>\n \u2018It keeps hitting me that I\u2019m actually on Albert Square!,\u2019 he enthused. \u2018When I found out I was joining the Brannings, it was so exciting as they are such an iconic family, and I love that there are so many skeletons in the closet. <\/p>\n \t\t \u2018Oscar is so much fun to play, and the audience should be prepared for the unexpected as he\u2019s a complex guy!\u2019<\/p>\n Bringing Oscar back was a brainwave of new EastEnders boss Ben Wadey, who recently reintroduced Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) after a two decade absence<\/a>. <\/p>\n \t\t\t\tFollow Metro Soaps on WhatsApp and get all the latest spoilers first!\t\t\t<\/p>\n Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers?
