Three people were arrested after protestors stationed themselves outside Allianz insurance’s office<\/a>, spraying the Bristol city centre<\/a> building with red paint demanding an end to \u201cprovision of insurance services to the Israeli arms giant Elbit Systems.\u201d<\/p>\n

Palestine Action said: \u201cThis morning, Palestine Action has targeted Allianz in Bristol, blocking access and spraying red paint across the building to demand the insurance giant immediately ceases its provision of insurance services to the Israeli arms giant Elbit Systems.\u201d<\/p>\n

Avon and Somerset Police said three people were arrested after paint was sprayed onto a building in Victoria Street this morning.<\/p>\n

It comes after Palestine Action targeted the City of London premises of Allianz in March as part of an ongoing and escalating campaign against the insurance company.<\/p>\n

The group posted a video on their X account on Monday morning with a protestor spraying red on the front of the building in Redcliffe saying \u201cFree Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n

In March, for the 17th time in four years, the group shut down Elbit Systems Bristol headquarters.<\/p>\n

The Palestine Action protest action took place on Saturday, March 15, at the Bristol headquarters of Elbit Systems, at the Aztec West Business Park in Bristol.<\/p>\n

The full police statement read: “Three people have been arrested after paint was sprayed onto a building in Victoria Street this morning.<\/p>\n

“The incident was reported to police shortly after 6.30am. Officers attended and found three protesters locked on.<\/p>\n

“The trio were arrested and have been freed by specialist officers.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re committed to facilitating people\u2019s right to lawful peaceful protest, but cannot and will not tolerate criminal behaviour.\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Elbit previously told the BBC<\/a> the firm is “proud to deliver a broad range of modern and innovative equipment and services to the British armed forces.<\/p>\n

“Any claims that this facility supplies the Israeli military or Israeli Ministry of Defence are completely false.”<\/p>\n
