Liverpool<\/a> have been urged to beat Manchester United<\/a>, Chelsea<\/a> and Arsenal<\/a> to a \u00a330m transfer deal this summer.<\/p>\n

Despite taking Liverpool to the precipice of a Premier League title, Arne Slot is keen to strengthen his Anfield squad in the summer.<\/p>\n

Top of Slot\u2019s wishlist \u2013 now Mohamed Salah has signed a contract extension<\/a> and Virgil van Dijk looks set to follow suit \u2013 is a new striker.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have dominated their Premier League rivals playing without a recognised striker for much of the season.<\/p>\n

Slot has had Darwin Nunez at his disposal but appears to have well-founded doubts over a player who has largely flattered to deceive following his big-money move from Benfica<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With Liverpool assessing their options for a new striker, Anfield hero Dietmar Hamann has recommended a move for Liam Delap.<\/p>\n

The Ipswich Town striker, who can be signed for just \u00a330m once the Tractor Boys\u2019 relegation to the Championship is confirmed<\/a>, has scored 12 Premier League goals this season.<\/p>\n

His form has caught the eye of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal<\/a> but Hamann has urged Liverpool to enter the race.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think Liam Delap has been brilliant for Ipswich,\u2019 the former Champions League winner told PokerFirma<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018You have to say that he\u2019s been in a poor team, as the bottom three have been this season, but he has shown how good a player he is.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tLiam Delap ‘nailed on’ to join Man Utd\t\t\t<\/p>\n

While a number of clubs are interested in signing Liam Delap, ex-Premier League striker Troy Deeney believes he is \u2018nailed on\u2019 to join Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United are desperate for attacking reinforcements this summer and Deeney expects Delap to be heading to Old Trafford to play under Ruben Amorim.<\/p>\n

Deeney said: \u2018He has to play [to get into England squad], right? So his next step, if I was advising him, would be to go where you would play.<\/p>\n

\u201dManchester United, it\u2019s nailed on. If he went to Man United, he\u2019d start every week. He\u2019d instantly make them better.\u2019<\/p>\n

Speaking to talkSPORT<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018I think he would really strengthen Liverpool, they have to try and keep Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, who has been the only forward they can rely on, but Delap would be a great addition.<\/p>\n

\u2018He is young, up and coming and hungry, when you\u2019re doing well as a team it\u2019s so important that you bring new hunger in because a lot of Liverpool\u2019s players have already won two Premier League titles and the Champions League.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bringing hungry players is so important and Delap would be one of them, I think he would be a great signing because there are not many centre forwards available.\u2019<\/p>\n

Liverpool have been tentatively linked with Alexander Isak<\/a> but Hamann has warned his former club the Newcastle United striker could cost \u2018triple\u2019 Delap.<\/p>\n

\u2018Looking at both Liam Delap and Alexander Isak, Isak might cost double or even triple what Delap would,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n

\u2018Isak is a great player and I wouldn\u2019t mind seeing him in that red shirt, but Liverpool have never been massive spenders, even when they bought Virgil van Dijk it was with the Philippe Coutinho money.<\/p>\n

\u2018They haven\u2019t been the biggest spenders but getting either Delap or Isak will be good business.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ipswich Town\u2019s relegation from the Premier League looks set to be confirmed before the end of the month as Kieran McKenna\u2019s side prepare to face Arsenal this weekend and Newcastle United the next.<\/p>\n

Liam Delap, the son of Premier League cult hero Rory, had a stint Manchester City before joining Ipswich Town last summer.<\/p>\n
