{"id":204460,"date":"2025-06-22T06:26:18","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T06:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/204460\/"},"modified":"2025-06-22T06:26:18","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T06:26:18","slug":"ukraines-dayana-yastremska-reaches-nottingham-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/204460\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine&#8217;s Dayana Yastremska reaches Nottingham final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jun 21, 2025, 02:34 PM ET<\/p>\n<p>NOTTINGHAM &#8212; <a data-player-guid=\"f1f5e291-f3f1-c3b8-adf5-94c9ee20b48b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=3142\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dayana Yastremska<\/a> says she has an allergy to grass, but she became the first Ukrainian player to reach a WTA Tour final on the surface for 17 years after a 6-4 6-4 defeat of Poland&#8217;s <a data-player-guid=\"c7ee54cc-9ab2-3349-fc90-34f543660ab7\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=1649\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Magda Linette<\/a> at the Nottingham Open on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Yastremska will seek her first WTA title since 2019, when she faces American <a data-player-guid=\"992cfed9-e7a3-385c-8239-6da467d3436b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=5528\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McCartney Kessler<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I really love playing on grass, even though I think I have a bit of an allergy to grass,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m very excited, and I was proud of myself. In general everything worked pretty well. I can&#8217;t wait to play in the finals tomorrow.
