Leeds United are not messing around in the transfer market as they aim to follow up on their first signing of the summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n Lukas Nmecha will be the first player through the Leeds door<\/a> when he leaves VfL Wolfsburg on a free transfer on July 1.<\/p>\n Another player who will surely follow is Jaka Bijol, who has undergone his medical at Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n Now, the Peacocks are already keen on Wolves full-back Hugo Bueno amid news of Junior Firpo\u2019s impending exit.<\/p>\n Firpo is on the verge of leaving Leeds<\/a> and is set to return to his former club Real Betis, where he spent five years as a player.<\/p>\n The Dominican Republic international enjoyed a phenomenal Championship season, notching 14 goal contributions from left-back.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n However, with the 28-year-old set to depart Elland Road upon the expiry of his contract, Leeds have lined up Bueno as a potential replacement<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Whites have stepped up their pursuit of a left-back after adding Bueno to their wish list, according to the Sunday Mirror (22 June, page 66).<\/p>\n Bueno spent the entirety of last season with Feyenoord (Sofascore<\/a>)<\/p>\n This comes after news that Firpo has effectively sealed a move to the Benito Villamar\u00edn Stadium on a free transfer.<\/p>\n Bueno<\/a> is a Wolves player, but spent last season on loan with Dutch outfit Feyenoord, where he made 30 appearances in all competitions.<\/p>\n During his stint at Moilneux, Bueno has made just under 50 appearances, with his last coming in May 2024.<\/p>\n The Sunday Mirror states that there is hope Wolves would still sell Bueno despite Rayan Ait-Nouri\u2019s departure to Man City.<\/p>\n Although he is just 22, Bueno has a significant amount of Premier League experience as well as Champions League nous.<\/p>\n Furthermore, the left-back has played for Spain at Under-21 and Under-18 levels, having made eight appearances. <\/p>\n Given that Firpo<\/a> is set to depart on a free, replacing him with someone who has experienced Premier League football already could be key.<\/p>\n Everyone saw how much signing from an outside league comes with struggles, as Firpo was ridiculed during his first year in the Premier League.<\/p>\n While his Wolves future may have faded, Bueno can still have a promising future at Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n![\"Lukas](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Lukas-Nmecha-Leeds-fi-web-1024x576.png\")
