A man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries after he was assaulted outside licensed premises in Ballymena in the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Detectives are appealing for information following the serious assault.<\/p>\n

Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said: \u201cAt approximately 2.05am, police received a report that a man had been assaulted outside a licenced premises in the Ballymoney Street area.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended and one man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the assault and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or to anyone with CCTV or other footage that could assist with enquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 166 22\/06\/25.\u201d<\/p>\n
