Emergency services stormed a busy Manchester junction after three people were injured in a smash.<\/p>\n

Police, firefighters and paramedics all raced out to Wilmslow<\/a> Road, near the junction with Palatine Road, in Withington<\/a> at around 11.50pm on Saturday night (June 21).<\/p>\n

The incident involved two vehicles, with three people taken to hospital by ambulance from the scene, according to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).<\/p>\n

Firefighters rescued one person from one of the cars involved using specialist equipment.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> confirmed it attended the incident and said there were no fatalities following the crash.<\/p>\n

The extent of injuries for those involved has not been confirmed, but it’s understood the incident is not currently being investigated as a serious collision.<\/p>\n

A GMFRS spokesperson said: “At around before 11.50pm yesterday (Saturday, June 21) fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Wilmslow Road, Withington.<\/p>\n

\u201cThree fire engines from Withington, Gorton<\/a> and Whitehill quickly attended the incident which involved two vehicles.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrews used specialist equipment to extricate one person from a vehicle. Three people were assessed at the scene and then conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n

“Firefighters made the area safe before departing after approximately one hour at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n
