In a new social media post, the British chart-topper demands attention by flaunting her figure in a mirror selfie. “my body hurts and i don’t think i can socialize for a minute but it’s been really cute and i love everyone xx,” the singer captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach health and wellness? Here are all of her diet and fitness tips.

Exercising is Charli’s job. “I perform in a really high octane and energetic type of way. So, for me, it’s important to keep fit,” she told Forbes. “Also, I find that if I don’t exercise, I feel less awake. I try to work out five times a week because it really lifts my mood and makes me feel more positive. It’s important for me to stay balanced.”

Charli is a yogi. “I always take a yoga mat everywhere,” she told Forbes. “I try to do that before each show. It really works for me.” There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

Charli has a relaxed approach to diet. “I think you’ve just got to do your thing. I mean I love pizza, and I think everyone is human and they go for that stuff,” she told DailyMail. “You shouldn’t stress about that stuff.”

Charli maintains that “drinking lots of water,” is also a priority, she told Forbes. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for several reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, maintains a normal body temperature, lubricates and cushions joints, and protects sensitive tissues.

Charli stresses the importance of self-care. “It’s just a balance in life. Just making sure you take care of yourself. It often like starts really well and then as the tour progresses it gets a little bit harder. I try my best to kind of sustain throughout,” she told Forbes.

Charli XCX is pretty in pink – in her bikini.
