Inflation in Bangladesh may increase due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has\u00a0observed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Fuel oil prices will rise due to the Middle East conflict,” CPD Executive Director Fahmida Khatun expressed concerns during her opening remarks at the Budget Dialogue 2025-26 organised by CPD this morning (22 June).<\/p>\n

“When fuel oil prices increase, it directly impacts inflation. Transportation costs and other logistics expenses will rise,” said Fahmida.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She said this will increase import costs and have a direct impact on inflation.<\/p>\n
