A man has been rushed to hospital with ‘potentially life-threatening’ injuries after he was struck by a car which failed to stop in Birmingham city centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n The hit-and-run crash happened in Holliday Street, near Broad Street<\/a>, at around 4.30am today, June 22.<\/p>\n Police said the pedestrian was rushed to hospital with ‘potentially life-threatening injuries’.<\/p>\n READ MORE:<\/strong> Woman struck by car in city centre fighting for her life in hospital<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding following the incident.<\/p>\n A woman, 20, and a second man, 21, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.<\/p>\n Detectives have issued this image below of a man they would like to identify.<\/p>\n Police added that a vehicle, believed to have been involved in the incident, was recovered and will be forensically examined.<\/p>\n A West Midlands Police<\/a> spokesperson said: “We\u2019re appealing for witnesses and footage after a man was hit by a car in Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We were called to Holliday Street in the city centre at around 4.30am this morning (22 June) to reports a man had been hit by a car which didn\u2019t stop.<\/p>\n “He was taken to hospital where she remains with potentially life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n “One man, aged 22, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding, while a woman, aged 20, and a man, aged 21, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.<\/p>\n “A vehicle, believed to have been involved in the incident, has been recovered and will be forensically examined.<\/p>\n “Our investigation is at an early stage and we are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage, to get in touch with us.<\/p>\n “We would also like to speak to the man pictured here as part of our enquiries.<\/p>\n “Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting crime reference number 20\/282865\/25.
