Daniel Farke said a couple of weeks ago he is \u201c100% convinced\u201d that Leeds United will be in the Premier League next season and at the time, he was ridiculed. Now, he looks like a genius.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clearly, Farke<\/a> had looked into a crystal ball because Sheffield United have lost three games in a row while Leeds<\/a> have opened up a five-point gap on the Blades to reach 88 points, after two consecutive victories.<\/p>\n

Promotion then, looks increasingly likely. Leeds need seven points from their final four games to go and achieve a place in the top two, and that is if Sheffield United win their remaining four league matches.<\/p>\n

Leeds fans, and the club itself, can start to look at the summer as a window of preparation. One in which Leeds will need to invest in order to survive in the top tier \u2013 and Leeds are now considering a \u00a33.5m bid.<\/p>\n

In the last few weeks, Leeds have been linked with plenty of top-tier talent ahead of a summer in which the club will look to try and make the right signings to give manager Farke the best chance of survival.<\/p>\n

Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton spent a combined total of almost \u00a3350m during 2024-25, but all three will be back in the Championship<\/a> next season. Leeds then, need to go one better and buy well.<\/p>\n

Leeds have been linked with a move for France-born Mali star Modibo Sagnan<\/a>. Now, Africa Foot<\/a> say Leeds are considering a \u00a33.5m offer to lure the Montpellier mainstay to Elland Road<\/a> in the summer.<\/p>\n

A left-footed centre-back is a rarity these days, but Leeds are likely to be in the market for one given Max Wober is expected to depart<\/a>. Sagnan<\/a> fits that category, but Leeds will be concerned with his side\u2019s form.<\/p>\n

One of Ligue 1\u2019s worst-ever sides, Montpellier have lost 22 of 29 games this season. Sagnan has started in 24 of those matches, the latest on Sunday in which Montpellier suffered a tenth loss in a row to Angers.<\/p>\n

Relegation is inevitable for Sagnan and Montpellier, a player with Real Sociedad, FC Utrecht and Lens on his CV.
