The 32nd edition of the Sheffield DocFest has concluded in England.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, director Anastasiya Miroshnichenko\u2019s Welded Together won the festival\u2019s Grand Jury Award for the International Competition during the closing gala at Sheffield\u2019s Crucible Playhouse.<\/p>\n
More from Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n The festival\u2019s jury called the selection \u201ca portrait of resilience and strength \u2014 both of the main character and of a community that stands in solidarity. The film highlights the contrast between the generosity of the people and the harsh realities of alcoholism in the Belarussian society. An honest and delicate portrayal of a young woman desperately trying to hold her family \u2018welded together.’\u201d<\/p>\n Kicking off on June 18, the festival hosted 51 world premieres from 68 countries of production.
