The dream destination for Marcus Rashford after his exit from Manchester United<\/a> appears to be Barcelona after he declared an interest in playing alongside Lamine Yamal.<\/p>\n

An interview<\/a> with the Spanish YouTuber Javi Ruiz revealed something of the 27-year-old\u2019s thoughts on his future. Asked if he would like to be teammates with Lamine Yamal, Rashford said: \u201cYes, for sure. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully \u2026 we\u2019ll see.\u201d Barcelona\u2019s sporting director, Deco, told the Catalan radio station RAC1 in May that the club like Rashford.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Rashford, whose own breakthrough at United came as an 18-year-old, with four goals in two games against Denmark\u2019s FC Midtjylland and Arsenal in February 2016, said: \u201cIt\u2019s difficult to put into words what [Lamine Yamal] is doing because he\u2019s not supposed to be doing that at 16 or 17. I don\u2019t think we\u2019ve seen that before.\u201d<\/p>\n

United are hoping to sell Rashford<\/a>, frozen out by Ruben Amorim and loaned to Aston Villa in January, to fund further summer transfer business beyond the \u00a362.5m signing of Matheus Cunha<\/a>. Alejandro Garnacho is another who may be sold. For Rashford, contracted until 2027, having stated his time at United is at its end, the asking price is understood to be \u00a340m.<\/p>\n

Despite a productive spell at Villa, including a throwback performance in the club\u2019s Champions League near-miss against the eventual winners, Paris Saint-Germain, he is unlikely to return to Unai Emery\u2019s club, who have profit and sustainability concerns after missing out on a return to the competition. \u201cSpain is nice, and it\u2019s not too far from home,\u201d Rashford said.<\/p>\n

Barcelona have made a wide forward a priority, with Liverpool\u2019s Luis D\u00edaz also linked<\/a>. \u201cAs wingers we only have Lamine and Raphinha, because Ferran [Torres] is becoming more and more a striker,\u201d Deco said.<\/p>\n

The No 1 target is the Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, 22, for whom a buyout clause is set at \u20ac58m (\u00a349.7m), and Bar\u00e7a are willing to pay it.<\/p>\n
