Action hero Jason Statham<\/a> has always been a prolific movie star, with many projects on the way. As he’s working on a sequel to the action hit The Beekeeper, the actor has another action film on the way.<\/p>\n

Statham will team up with Ric Roman Waugh, who was behind Angel Has Fallen and other Gerard Butler action films. Although the film’s details, including the title, are kept under wraps, there are some actors attached to the project aside from Statham. Speaking with MovieWeb<\/a>, Blink Twice star Naomi Ackie hyped up the upcoming action thriller, teasing that it’s “a classic.”<\/p>\n

This action thriller is set to receive a sequel. <\/p>\n

The actress wasn’t able to share many details about the plot, release date, or even the title. However, Ackie couldn’t stop praising the film, as well as Statham, highlighting that she had a blast on set.<\/p>\n

Jason Statham is so good at making exciting action films that feel extremely watchable.<\/p>\n

“Oh, it was so much fun<\/strong>,” the actress replied when asked about the mysterious action film. “I don’t know if I can give anything away. You know, it’s, it’s such a different, a different world, but it’s so much fun<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Ackie continued, “It’s a classic that I think the only way I can describe it<\/strong> is, it’s like, you know, Jason Statham is so good at making exciting action films that feel extremely watchable<\/strong> and so it’s actually so much fun being a part of that world… I had a ball.”<\/p>\n

After A Working Man’s recent success, Jason Statham’s best films continue the same path.<\/p>\n

The actress teased that her role was not too big, but enjoyed doing it. “I was there for like, a few, a few days. I was there for like, maybe a week, and, yeah, so much fun.<\/strong>“<\/p>\n

What to Know About Jason Statham’s Upcoming Film<\/p>\n

Statham will soon return for the sequel to The Beekeeper<\/a>, which was a massive hit. However, his upcoming movie with Ric Roman Waugh also sounds promising. The yet-untitled action doesn’t reveal many details about the title or plot, but its description teases, “A recluse on a remote Scottish island rescues a girl from the sea, unleashing a perilous sequence of events that culminate in an attack on his home, compelling him to face his turbulent history.”<\/p>\n

Aside from Statham and Ackie, the action film also stars Bodhi Rae Breathnach (So Awkward Academy), Bill Nighy (Love Actually, The First Omen), and Daniel Mays (The Bank Job).<\/p>\n

Ric Roman Waugh’s films have been big hits with audiences, although critics didn’t enjoy them too much. Particularly, his collaborations with Gerard Butler received great praise from moviegoers. 2019’s Angel Has Fallen<\/a> has an abysmal 38% score from the critics but a score over twice as good from the audience: 93% and a Verified Hot badge. 2020’s Greenland is their only fresh score, with a Certified Fresh 77% from the critics and 63% from the audience, while 2023’s Kandahar has again a “rotten” 45% but an 82% from the audience.<\/p>\n

The untitled action film doesn’t have a release date yet.<\/p>\n
