{"id":207164,"date":"2025-06-23T07:57:21","date_gmt":"2025-06-23T07:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/207164\/"},"modified":"2025-06-23T07:57:21","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T07:57:21","slug":"house-prices-in-bristol-continue-to-rise-as-average-nears-400k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/207164\/","title":{"rendered":"House prices in Bristol continue to rise as average nears \u00a3400k"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sold prices were up four per cent in the space of a year<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1_BR040122housingPAG-5.jpg\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Houses on the Bristol skyline(Image: Bristol Post)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/housing-crisis\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">House prices<\/a> in Bristol continue to rise, according to the latest figures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">According to RightMove, the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/property-news\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">average house price<\/a> in the city last year was close to \u00a3400k, with sold prices being up four per cent in the space of a year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">RightMove states: &#8220;House prices in Bristol have an overall average of \u00a3391,218 over the last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;The majority of properties sold in Bristol during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of \u00a3409,084.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Flats sold for an average of \u00a3281,662, with semi-detached properties fetching \u00a3436,507.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Overall, the historical sold prices in Bristol over the last year were 4% up on the previous year and 2% up on the 2022 peak of \u00a3384,163.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Zoopla gives different figures to RightMove, but is in agreement that house prices continue to go up in the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It says: &#8220;Property prices in Bristol rose by just 1.4% over the past year, adding \u00a34,700 to the typical home, according to our April 2025 House Price Index.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;The area is behind the UK average where prices have risen by 1.6% since April 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;The typical Bristol home is now worth \u00a3336,800, above the UK average house price of \u00a3268,200.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Over the past month, prices in Bristol have been static. But looking back over the last five years, the average property value has grown by 19%.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Earlier this year, we reported how the annual salary needed to buy a home in Bristol is just shy of \u00a365,000 per year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Data from the House Price Index (January 2025), published by Zoopla, showed that the average house price in Bristol is nearly \u00a330,000 higher than the average house price across the South West.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">At that point, Zoopla&#8217;s House Price Index revealed that the average house price in Bristol was \u00a3341,800, which meant that the annual income required to buy a house in the city is \u00a364,560.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Across the south west of England, the average house price is \u00a3314,000, which is an increase of \u00a33,700 (or a 1.2 per cent increase) throughout 2024.
