Jake Bijol is expected to become Leeds United\u2019s second signing of the summer transfer window.<\/strong><\/p>\n Albeit the same could be said for most European clubs, Leeds\u2019 summer business has been fairly slow so far, with Lukas Nmecha their only confirmed arrival<\/a> as of now.<\/p>\n Of course, with players away on holiday and the Club World Cup underway, activity is expected to heat up in the next few weeks, with a whole host of players linked with a move to Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n One of those expected to make the move officially is Udinese centre-back Bijol, with a new update emerging from Italy.<\/p>\n It is a near certainty that Bijol will be Leeds\u2019 second signing<\/a> ahead of their Premier League return, with it claimed by La Gazzetta Dello Sport (23 June, pg 31), that the Slovenian international \u201csigned with Leeds United on Friday\u201d.<\/p>\n Bijol was rumoured as a target for a while, but the length of time it took for a deal to be reached caused shock at Leeds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Bijol was solid at Udinese last season.<\/p>\n However, with his arrival seemingly imminent, Udinese have already started work on his replacement, with the signing of Nicolo Bertola \u201calmost done\u201d.<\/p>\n As for the hold-up at Elland Road when it comes to announcing Bijol, people can only wonder, but all signs are certainly pointing towards the fact that it is a done deal.<\/p>\n Bijol\u2019s addition will be an excellent one, though it can be used to detract from the fact that Leeds<\/a> need to address concerns in other areas of the pitch.<\/p>\n Signing a new number nine will be a necessity if they are to have any chance of staying in the Premier League, with a new goalkeeper also surely high up on their list of priorities.<\/p>\n As for the latter, Aaron Ramsdale\u2019s addition may be welcomed at Elland Road<\/a>, after it was revealed he could leave Southampton this summer.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Leeds-Jaka-Bijol-1-1024x576.png\")
