The attack caused an estimated 6 billion rubles ($76.4 million) in damages.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"796\">Russia\u2019s Investigative Committee, which probes crimes, identified 19 alleged perpetrators, accomplices and arms suppliers as members of ISIS-K, the Islamic State affiliate active in Central and South Asia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"1024\">\u201cThis inhuman crime was planned and committed in the interests of the current leadership of Ukraine in order to destabilize the political situation in our country,\u201d investigators said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tnews<br \/>\n\t\t<a data-id=\"in-article-block\" class=\"related-article__inner\" href=\"https:\/\/www.themoscowtimes.com\/2025\/06\/24\/one-year-on-hundreds-pay-tribute-after-deadly-crocus-city-hall-attack\" title=\"One Year On, Hundreds Pay Tribute After Deadly Crocus City Hall Attack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tOne Year On, Hundreds Pay Tribute After Deadly Crocus City Hall Attack<br \/>\n\t\t\tRead more<br \/>\n\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1299\">The Investigative Committee repeated earlier claims by President Vladimir Putin that the attackers attempted to flee to Ukraine after the shooting but were captured in Russia\u2019s Bryansk region near the borders with Ukraine and Belarus. Kyiv has repeatedly denied any role in the attack.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1530\">Russian investigators said preparations for the assault began months in advance. Some suspects allegedly received training abroad, and weapons were reportedly modified and smuggled into Russia through the Dagestani port city of Kaspiysk.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1770\">A separate investigation is ongoing into six other suspects \u2014 including two alleged masterminds \u2014 who remain at large and are wanted internationally.
