{"id":208762,"date":"2025-06-23T22:20:24","date_gmt":"2025-06-23T22:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/208762\/"},"modified":"2025-06-23T22:20:24","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T22:20:24","slug":"who-rules-european-business-travel-exhibition-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/208762\/","title":{"rendered":"Who rules European business travel? &#8211; Exhibition News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New insight from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesstravelshoweurope.com\/register?utm_source=PR%20&amp;utm_medium=PR&amp;utm_content=TMCPR&amp;utm_campaign=BTSE25\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-outlook-id=\"55478913-bc28-4d11-ae62-7f515988b771\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business Travel Show Europe<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesstravelshoweurope.com\/register?utm_source=PR%20&amp;utm_medium=PR&amp;utm_content=TMCPR&amp;utm_campaign=BTSE25\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-outlook-id=\"f4487060-31bc-4be3-870b-e06d2dcd0fbd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">,<\/a>\u00a0has revealed nearly one third (32%) of corporates are unhappy with their travel management companies (TMCs) with 15% planning to change suppliers this year. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A further 3% of respondents not currently using a TMC are also planning to go to RFP with the hope of making an appointment before spring 2026.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">95 corporate travel professionals responded to Business Travel Show Europe\u2019s annual buyer survey. On the upside, 59% of respondents are happy with their TMCs, slightly higher than voting at the most recent ITM conference, which claimed just 50% of attendees thought TMCs were fit for the future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Respondents were also asked, \u2018What do you think about TMC consolidation?\u2019\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">52%: It will reduce competition and be bad for buyers<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">32%: It will make the market more competitive and be good for buyers<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">16%: Don\u2019t know<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business Travel Show Europe marketing director Jonathon Carter-Champman, said: \u201cCost is very much still king among corporates \u2013 they need to know their TMC can optimise ROI from their budgets, deliver the best supplier rates and value adds, all while providing a tech stack that helps them achieve sustainability targets, reduce compliance and leakage, and keep their travellers safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business Travel News Europe\u2019s 29th annual guide to \u2018Europe\u2019s Leading TMCs\u2019, featuring more than 120 travel management companies from across the continent. There was little change among the five largest TMCs operating in Europe, but there was plenty of movement further down the rankings as well as new entries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The top five in Europe are: \u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American Express Global Business Travel\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BCD Travel\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CWT\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FCM Travel\u00a0<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Navan Group\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Andy Hoskins, Business Travel News Europe editor in chief, commented: \u201cNow in its 29th year, Europe\u2019s Leading TMCs is an indispensable reference point for the business travel industry.
