return to Birmingham Airport yesterday afternoon following a medical incident onboard.<\/p>\n<p>The Boeing 737-800, operating as flight FR1121, had departed Birmingham at approximately 3.35pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>However, it was forced to turn back shortly after take-off when the medical emergency occurred.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft, which can accommodate 189 passengers, was met by emergency airline&#8217;s flight had been scheduled to reach Tenerife South after a journey of four hours and 23 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>However, FlightRadar24 data suggests the Ryanair flight turned back to Birmingham after just 74 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Holidaymakers only made it to the English Channel before having their flights rescheduled after returning to Birmingham Airport.<\/p>\n<p><img its unplanned return to Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p>A Birmingham Airport spokesman said: &#8220;Due to a medical emergency on board, an aircraft returned shortly after take-off.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our on-site fire service responded to this as a precaution and part of our procedures for an unplanned landing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"9ca02\"
