(Photo by Paul Bergen\/Getty Images)\" height=\"640\" width=\"960\" data-credit=\"GETTY IMAGES\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-1926745758jpg-JS979008655.jpg\" data-caption=\"Maxim and Liam are bringing The Prodigy back to Scotland\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-1926745758jpg-JS979008655.jpg\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3<\/p>\n<p>Maxim and Liam are bringing The Prodigy back to ScotlandCredit: GETTY IMAGES<\/p>\n<p>Leader Liam Howlett, 53, and MC Maxim, 58, are returning three decades after the release of their seminal breakthrough <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">record<\/a> Music For The Jilted Generation.<\/p>\n<p>And support comes from a two-hour three-deck set from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">house<\/a> and techno hero Carl Cox.<\/p>\n<p>Liam said: \u201cWe\u2019re bringing back that full experience of non-stop noise and beats from doors to getting chucked out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be that full Prodigy ruckus as it was then and how it continues to be now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd droppin\u2019 new tunes for the people\u2026 we\u2019ve got our old friend Carl joining us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo expect full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attack<\/a> mode, factor 9\u2026 Let\u2019s go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Prodigy will return for their only date announced for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/scotland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland<\/a> so far on April 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The band formed around musician, songwriter and producer Liam, from Braintree, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/essex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Essex<\/a>, in 1990.<\/p>\n<p>A fixture of underground <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/clubbing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clubbing<\/a>, they crossed over with the success of hits Charly and Everybody In The Place the following year before becoming a household name with their second album which shot to number one.<\/p>\n<p>Their line-up fluctuated over the years but stabilised around Howlett, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/rapper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rapper<\/a> Maxim and dancer and vocalist Keith Flint.<\/p>\n<p>AMERICAN music icon John Legend was left red-faced after reportedly playing to an &#8217;empty&#8217; arena<\/p>\n<p>Every album since Music For The Jilted Generation \u2014 which featured dancefloor classics Voodoo People and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/poison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Poison<\/a> \u2014 has hit the top spot.<\/p>\n<p>The band have been working on a follow-up to 2018\u2019s No Tourists, which was released just months before Flint\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">death<\/a> aged 49.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-sale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/tickets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tickets<\/a> are available from 9am on Thursday, with the rest going one sale on Friday from 9am.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A LEGENDARY electronic band has announced a massive Scottish gig next year.
