ASeven people onboard an Air India flight AI130 from London Heathrow fell sick on Monday when the aircraft was on its way to Mumbai, the airline said.<\/p>\n
The Tata Group-owned airline said in a statement, \u201cOn board flight AI130 from London Heathrow to Mumbai, five passengers and two crew reported feeling dizzy and nauseous during different phases of the flight.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the flight landed \u201csafely\u201d in Mumbai, two passengers and two cabin crew continued feeling unwell. They were taken to the medical room on landing in the city for further examination.<\/p>\n
They were later discharged, and the incident is being investigated, the airline said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe flight landed safely in Mumbai, where our medical teams were ready to provide immediate medical assistance,\u201d the Air India spokesperson was quoted by ANI As saying.<\/p>\n
They added, \u201cAfter landing, two passengers and two cabin crew, who continued to feel unwell, were taken to the medical room for further examination and were later discharged.”<\/p>\n
Air India also said it had reported the incident to the aviation safety regulator, Directorate General of Civil Aviation. \u201cWe are investigating the incident and have duly notified the regulator,\u201d the statement further said.<\/p>\n
Air India has been under strict scrutiny in the aftermath of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crash on June 12.<\/p>\n
The Al-171 Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 aircraft bound for London’s Gatwick crashed shortly after it took off from the Ahmedabad International Airport. The airlines said only one out of the 242 people on board the aircraft survived the crash.<\/p>\n
