He was once best pals with glamour model Katie Price<\/a>, with the pair regularly enjoying wild nights out together.<\/p>\n

But after settling down with husband Phil Turner, Gary Cockerill has swapped makeup for an unlikely new career, pursuing a passion for DIY.<\/p>\n

In September, Phil, 56, paid a gushing tribute to his spouse of 15 years Gary, who showed off his silver fox look.<\/p>\n

He wrote: ‘Happy Birthday & Happy 33 years Anniversary of being together to my silver fox husband @garycockerill, love you as much as the day we met.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Here’s to another fabulous year of adventures and fun and another property to develop, love always and a big furry happy birthday from our beautiful fur babies.’<\/p>\n

Last year, Phil also showed off the results of his latest renovations, alongside a video of himself and Gary transforming a property.<\/p>\n

Phil previously shared that he met Katie when she was just 17 during a modelling shoot, and they remained close friends for many years.<\/p>\n

He originally wed the makeup artist\u00a0in a civil partnership in 2009, and while Katie was in attendance, it was\u00a0famously reported at the time she nearly ‘ruined’ the reception.<\/p>\n

Katie was set to serenade the couple for their first dance with a rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing but is said to have launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at the guests, allegedly telling them: ‘You’re all c***s.’<\/p>\n

Katie is said to have changed her mind about singing live because ‘there were too many c***s there who would enjoy hearing her sing off-key’, a source told The Sun.<\/p>\n

Instead, she mimed the song while Phil and Gary shared their first dance, and then went on to sing it twice more anyway.<\/p>\n

The event took place shortly after she and Peter Andre’s marriage ended, and she allegedly used the opportunity to brand him a ‘f*****g a******e’ whilst holding the mic.<\/p>\n

Katie was not spotted at their wedding, suggesting she was not invited, lest she repeat her behaviour from 2009.<\/p>\n

Late EastEnders star Dame Barbara Windsor was matron of honour at Gary and Phil’s big day, and the actress sent them a sweet message to celebrate their marriage in 2019<\/a>, in the midst of her battle with Alzheimer’s.<\/p>\n

The actress, who died in 2020, gushed in the short clip: ‘Gary, Phil! I’ve been told that you’ve got married. Oh, that’s wonderful, congratulations to you both. I look forward to seeing you both soon.’<\/p>\n

Phil couldn’t contain his emotion as he captioned the clip: ‘Our Incredible Beautiful friend Dame Barbara Windsor. Was our matron of honour at our civil partnership. When we said we was changing it to a marriage you can imagine our happiness when Scott sent us this, it meant so much.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘And for Scott to allow us to share this with you all also means a lot to. Barbara has been in our lives for the past 20 odd years and means as much to us now as she’s always has.<\/p>\n

‘We still laugh & joke about the past and talk about what she’s going through like so many others! Dementia affects so many life’s in so many different ways.<\/p>\n

Phil and Gary were officially married in 2019, a decade after entering their civil partnership, following the legalisation of gay marriage in 2013.<\/p>\n

Both of the grooms hit their own Instagrams to gush about one another, with Gary uploading a snap of Phil and captioning it: ‘My Gorgeous Hubby. Aren’t I the lucky one.
