A man has been charged with alleged explosives offences after a property was searched in Wigan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is alleged that suspicious items were discovered at a property in Kitt Green on Saturday, June 14, with several items recovered.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says a 25-year-old man was arrested following the search.<\/p>\n

He has since been charged and named ahead of an appearance in court later today (June 24).<\/p>\n

Ryan Baybutt, of Belvedere Place, Wigan, has been charged with manufacturing or possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances contrary to Section 4 of the Explosives Act.<\/p>\n

Baybutt was remanded into custody ahead of his next court appearance in Manchester today.<\/p>\n
