Ryan Garcia<\/a>\u2018s next move in boxing is currently unknown.<\/p>\n

\u2018King Ry\u2019 was last in action in May as he returned for the first time in over a year, following his failed drugs test which saw his April 2024 victory over Devin Haney overturned to a no contest.<\/p>\n

That was deemed to be a career-best performance from Garcia, but he couldn\u2019t replicate it when he competed last month, getting dropped on his way to a shock points defeat to Rolly Romero at Times Square in New York.<\/a><\/p>\n

A victory there would have seemingly paved the way for a rematch between Garcia and Haney, and while Haney held up his end of the bargain by defeating Jose Ramirez on that New York card, the loss for \u2018King Ry\u2019 has thrown the second meeting into serious doubt.<\/a><\/p>\n

Instead, Garcia may now be setting his sights on taking on a man that Floyd Mayweather<\/a> once fought before he retired from the sport in 2017.<\/p>\n

Mayweather ended his career with a perfect 50-0 record, having defeated the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya and Canelo Alvarez.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s another of Mayweather\u2019s former foes that Garcia is targeting though, after he told Clocked n Loaded<\/a> that he wants to take on Conor McGregor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to fight Conor McGregor. I hate him. It\u2019s beef now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

McGregor fought Mayweather in August 2017, but it was a comfortable victory for the boxing legend, stopping the former UFC champion in the tenth round.<\/p>\n
