Prince William attended his first event during London Climate Action Week, meeting Earthshot Prize finalists at a ‘Leading with Impact’ gathering in the City of London.<\/p>\n

The event brought together influential figures from climate, business and philanthropy sectors to celebrate the 2024 finalists’ achievements.<\/p>\n

The prince was greeted by Michael R. Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg Philanthropies and global advisor to Earthshot Prize winners.<\/p>\n

He then participated in a workshop with the 2024 finalists, learning about their progress and future goals since joining the prize programme last year.<\/p>\n

The ‘Leading with Impact’ event featured Robert Irwin, Earthshot Prize ambassador, and Bloomberg’s Francine Lacqua as moderators. Michael R. Bloomberg delivered a speech during the morning sessions.<\/p>\n

A key discussion brought together London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan and Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes to discuss their cities’ experiences hosting Earthshot Prize Awards.<\/p>\n

Beyond the awards ceremony, the prize programme provides year-round support through mentorship, investment opportunities and public awareness campaigns for all winners and finalists worldwide.<\/p>\n

The Prince participated in an onstage discussion alongside Robert Irwin, Dame Jacinda Ardern, former New Zealand Prime Minister and Earthshot Prize trustee, and Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber’s chief executive.<\/p>\n
