sweeping across the south through Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning, before temperatures are then set to climb again over the weekend.

And the Met Office longer-range forecast for the period June 28 to July 7 states: “Weather conditions are expected to be remain changeable through this period, as a series of Atlantic low pressure systems pass to the northwest of the UK.

“Whilst some rain or showers will be possible across the south and east, here longer, drier spells are more likely, under the influence of higher pressure.

“There is also the chance of some occasional very warm, perhaps locally hot weather, as south or south-westerly winds allow brief bursts of hotter air to encroach from the continent, but probably fairly short-lived, and perhaps also accompanied by a few thunderstorms at times.”

Bristol weather forecast over the coming days

Wednesday, June 25: highs of 24°C, 20% chance of rain, overcast changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime

Thursday, June 26: highs of 22°C, 40% chance of rain, light showers changing to sunny intervals by late morning

Friday, June 27: highs of 24°C, 40% chance of rain, overcast

Saturday, June 28: highs of 23°C,

Sunday, June 29: highs of 25°C, 20% chance of rain, overcast changing to sunny intervals by late morning

Monday, June 30: highs of 27°C, 30% chance of rain, sunny intervals changing to partly cloudy by night-time

The temperature could hit the high 20s again in just a matter of daysBristol in the sunshine(Image: Alexey…

[8818
381,748,393,4884,16,15,741
0":"post-210935","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-bristol","8":"tag-bristol","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom","14":"tag-weather
["GET
