Julio Cesar Chavez Jr<\/a> will look to derail Jake Paul<\/a>\u2018s world title ambitions when they meet this weekend.<\/p>\n

Chavez Jr and Paul collide at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California,<\/a> with the Mexican viewed as arguably the toughest test of Paul\u2019s career so far.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a difficult decade in the sport for Chavez Jr since losing his WBC middleweight title back in 2012, failing to ever return to those same heights.<\/p>\n

He had an opportunity to return to the big stage in May 2017, when he collided with countryman Canelo Alvarez<\/a> at the T-Mobile in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

There were questions heading in whether Chavez may be too big for Canelo, but Alvarez proved any doubters wrong by dominating every round on his way to a unanimous decision verdict.<\/p>\n

After sharing 36 minutes inside a boxing ring with Chavez Jr, Canelo may know better than most about his former rival\u2019s boxing ability ahead of his clash with Paul this weekend.<\/p>\n

Speaking to AS<\/a>, Canelo needed just two words to sum up the career of Chavez Jr, but it wasn\u2019t a complimentary assessment. He clearly focused on his inconsistent training, weight issues, and substance use.<\/p>\n

Chavez Jr will hope to prove Canelo wrong when he faces Paul this weekend, with \u2018The Problem Child\u2019 back in action for the first time following his controversial bout with boxing legend Mike Tyson<\/a> in November.<\/p>\n

That ended in a unanimous decision victory for Paul after eight rounds, but was heavily criticised due to Tyson being 58-years-old and having not competed professionally for nearly two decades.<\/p>\n
