{"id":211378,"date":"2025-06-24T21:19:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-24T21:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/211378\/"},"modified":"2025-06-24T21:19:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-24T21:19:10","slug":"west-midlands-cycling-facilities-falling-short-says-bike-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/211378\/","title":{"rendered":"West Midlands cycling facilities falling short, says bike group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Cycling facilities in the West Midlands have fallen behind other UK regions scoring below the national average of 63, according to a bicycle campaign group.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Of the regions rated over the first six months of 2025, Greater London came top with an overall score of 70, while the West Midlands came last with an average score of 50.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">People For Bikes said that of the 107 cities rated, Warwick came top across the region, scoring 61 out of 100 for its city cycle routes, protected bike lanes and low-speed limits.
