Bloody Disgusting put the spotlight on a film titled Grieve in our list of 10 Hidden Horror Gems You Might\u2019ve Missed in 2023.<\/a> The film was the feature directorial debut of Robbie Smith<\/strong>, who also happens to be the lead singer from the popular grind band Heavy Heavy Low Low<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Well, Robbie Smith is back this year with new feature I Don\u2019t Like It Here<\/strong>, and you can exclusively preview the upcoming film by watching the official teaser trailer down below.<\/p>\n

The team previews, \u201cSmith\u2019s newest film builds on the deliberately paced, dread-inducing filmmaking of his debut film, which The New York Times praised as \u2018ghostly and poetic,\u2019 and Bloody Disgusting named a \u2018Hidden Horror Gem of 2023.\u2019 Smith\u2019s sophomore film hones his cinematic edge, combining Grieve\u2019s brooding, voyeuristic camerawork with razor-sharp blasts of disorienting violence, leading to a blood-drenched finale.\u201d<\/p>\n

I Don\u2019t Like It Here follows Paul Verow (played by Jacob Nichols<\/strong> of Grieve), a parolee who returns to his childhood home to find his family missing and himself a pariah. As he grapples with his past and the town\u2019s sinister secrets, he becomes the prime suspect in a series of gruesome murders. A haunting exploration of small-town horror, I Don\u2019t Like It Here delves into the depths of human depravity and the terrifying power of fear.<\/p>\n

Danielle Keaton<\/strong> (Village of the Damned, Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys), Marieh Delfino<\/strong> (The Invitation), and newcomer Lizzy Calvano<\/strong> also star in I Don\u2019t Like It Here.<\/p>\n
