Terence Crawford is reportedly considering ending his career following clash with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Turki Alalshikh revealed the conversation that he had with Crawford prior to the press tour for the hotly anticipated Las Vegas fight on September 13.<\/p>\n

“In the beginning he came to meet me in London, he said, ‘I want this as the retirement fight’,” Alalshikh told Ring Magazine.<\/p>\n

Crawford, who turns 38 in September, also mentioned to the media in Riyadh that he didn’t push for a rematch clause.<\/p>\n

However, he didn\u2019t confirm if Canelo has one in place if he loses the contest.<\/p>\n

With 19 consecutive world-title bouts and achieving the title of undisputed champion across two weight divisions, Crawford has enjoyed a stellar career.<\/p>\n

As he moves up two weight classes to challenge Canelo at his natural home of super middleweight, without a rehydration clause.<\/p>\n

The two pound-for-pound greats will fight for Canelo’s undisputed super-middleweight world championship.<\/p>\n

His bout against the Mexican could get the ball rolling for Crawford to become the first male three-weight undisputed champion, assuming he doesn’t retire. <\/a><\/p>\n

Canelo may by three years his junior, but after making his professional debut aged 15, he holds 11 world titles.<\/p>\n

Having 27 world-title fights and 67 bouts in total under his belt, he presents a strong opponent for Crawford as they prepare for their bout.<\/p>\n

When Canelo and Crawford faced off last week during their New York press conference, verbal blows were exchanged before a firm push from the Mexican star led to a brief altercation on stage. <\/p>\n

At the same press conference, Alalshikh revealed an undisclosed financial boost will be up for grabs<\/a> during their bout.<\/p>\n

“We will have in this fight and our next fights a bonus for a KO.”<\/p>\n

He believes that this added incentive will make the encounter an even more enthralling occasion. <\/p>\n

“I am sure [Alvarez vs Crawford] will deliver for me smashing face and blood and this is the boxing,” Alalshikh said. <\/p>\n
