A RARE job opportunity has become available at the King’s official residence in Scotland.<\/p>\n

A security officer is being sought at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The role has been posted on the Royal Family’s<\/a> official website.<\/p>\n

The job advert states: “It’s knowing you’re protecting the community that surrounds you. It’s feeling trusted to deliver to the very highest standards.<\/p>\n

“And it’s the pride in protecting an environment of unique historic importance. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs The King\u2019s<\/a> official residence in Scotland, The Palace of Holyroodhouse welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world, as well as hosting a calendar of Royal events.<\/p>\n

“Joining our team of security officers, you\u2019ll help to maintain a safe and secure environment throughout The Palace and grounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Applicants are expected to have experience working in the police, military or security services.<\/p>\n

Security officers are responsible for the perimeter of the capital building and the chosen candidate will be expected to carry out patrols and respond to incidents.<\/p>\n

The application also states that security officers are expected to work “occasionally at height or in confined spaces”.<\/p>\n

The position offers a pay of \u00a328,000 a year.<\/p>\n

The rest of the advert reads: “It\u2019s your team-focused approach that will make the real difference.<\/p>\n
