Celebs Go Dating<\/a> star Eden Blackman has died at the age of 57 on Saturday, following a ‘long illness’.<\/p>\n

The love guru’s heartbroken family confirmed his tragic passing on Tuesday with a statement on his official Instagram account, where they described him as ‘fun, unpredictable, vivid and full of life.’<\/p>\n

While fans, celebrities and some of his fellow Celebs Go Dating co-stars soon flooded the comments sections with heartfelt tributes to the late TV star.<\/p>\n

Sharing a trio of photos of Eden beaming at the camera, laughing in a recording booth and and standing at the beach looking out over the sea, his family penned: ‘We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Eden passed away on 21 June 2025, after carrying a long illness with quiet grace.<\/p>\n

‘Eden blazed through life with charm, mischief and a fire that was entirely his own, magnetic, stylish, sharp, impossibly handsome and always up for the adventure.<\/p>\n

‘Music was his first love and constant companion, a pulse that shaped who he was, and he carved his path through that world with instinct, passion and deep care for the people he worked with.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘To know Eden was to be caught in his orbit – fun, unpredictable, vivid and full of life. He stood proud, laughed loudly and lived as only he could. We\u2019ll carry his spirit with us always.’<\/p>\n

They concluded: ‘We ask for privacy as we find our way through this loss, and thank you for your love and kindness’.<\/p>\n

Eden’s followers rushed to voice their devastation at the news and condolences to his loved ones, while several famous faces paid tribute.<\/p>\n

Eden’s co-star on Celebs Go Dating, Tom Read-Wilson, penned: ‘This is so very sad. I will always be hugely grateful for his kindness and generosity of spirit. My deepest condolences at this heartbreaking time. Xx’\u00a0<\/p>\n

While current dating experts Paul C. Brunson and Anna Williamson, who served as Eden’s successors on the reality show, also paid tribute.<\/p>\n

Paul wrote: ‘Sending love and deepest condolences. I never met Eden, but we were forever linked through Celebs Go Dating.\u00a0He showed me kindness when he didn\u2019t have to, and I\u2019ll never forget it. May he rest in paradise.’<\/p>\n

Anna added: ‘So sorry to hear this. Eden was always incredibly kind and supportive to me and I am truly so sad to hear of his passing. My love goes out to all of his family and friends. \u2764\ufe0f’<\/p>\n

Fearne Cotton commented: ‘The most charismatic, beautiful human. Will miss you always E X’, while Dr Zoe Williams added: ‘Sorry to hear this and I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace \u2764\ufe0f’.<\/p>\n

Tallia Storm, who was a contestant on Celebs Go Dating on series four in 2018, wrote: ‘Heartbroken to read this. Sending all my love to Eden’s family and everyone who knew him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Working with him on CGD was such a special time, he was truly amazing, full of unforgettable memories, and always looked out for me. Rest easy, Eden. Sending love and condolences to those who lives he lit up’.<\/p>\n

Eden first came to fame as an expert on the\u00a0E4 dating show in 2016, alongside Tom and Nadia Essex.<\/p>\n

He worked to help the likes of\u00a0Joey Essex,\u00a0Ferne McCann,\u00a0Georgia Toffolo, Sam\u00a0Thompson and Gemma Collins find love through the dating agency.<\/p>\n

After four seasons, he announced he was leaving the series in March 2018, as he declared his intention to pursue other projects, including his dating app and music PR agency.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

At the time, Eden said: ‘I\u2019m immensely proud of the show\u2019s success but after four great series, it\u2019s now time for me to fully commit to my other projects – 2018 will see me relaunch my dating app ‘Would Like to Meet’ and also marks the 18th year of my music PR agency – these remain my biggest passions and take up a great deal of my time.<\/p>\n

‘On top of this, I\u2019m also in the process of developing a further new business that is yet to be announced\u2026 so it\u2019s a really exciting time. I\u2019m thankful to everyone at Lime Pictures and C4 for the opportunity.<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019ve had a great time and following its best-rated series to date, wish them nothing but more success for the show moving forwards.’<\/p>\n

Following his departure, Eden became embroiled in a bitter fallout out with former co-star Nadia, after she sued him and the show’s producers, Lime Pictures, for gender-based discrimination, harassment and victimisation.<\/p>\n

As cracks began to show on their on-set relationship in 2017,\u00a0Nadia set up fake Twitter accounts to troll Eden and make unfounded allegations about his personal life.<\/p>\n

After an investigation revealed her to be the culprit, she was suspended from the show in September 2018 and then decided to quit.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the fake accounts, Nadia said: ‘It was so easy to get carried away. It’s so easy to lose yourself \u2013 your nice, kind, normal self.<\/p>\n

‘When you’re sucked into this whirlwind of hatred, you can’t see the wood for the trees. And it’s only when you take a step back, you go, “Wow”.’<\/p>\n

‘I chose the wrong path. But, I’m human.\u00a0And now I know better, and now I understand and I know I could never go there again.’<\/p>\n

However, Nadia said her actions were down to her mental state caused by the harassment she’d suffered over the two years she worked on the show.<\/p>\n

She then brought an employment tribunal case against Eden, who she accused of bullying and harassment, which went on for 10 months before being thrown out by the judge.<\/p>\n

Nadia continued to hit out at Eden online, leading to him pursuing a\u00a0harassment order against her, preventing her from mentioning him again or risk a hefty fine or even prison time.<\/p>\n

Eden later told how he had been diagnosed with PTSD and of being at suicidal risk as a result of Nadia\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Sun in 2020, he admitted: ‘When you\u2019re waking up every morning for two years, and you are nauseous and have anxiety about what you are going to read about yourself being put out by your former co-host on a dating show that\u2019s meant to be about love and positive vibes, it starts to impact on you.<\/p>\n

‘There were a number of occasions that it got way too much, and I gave myself approval to end my life on a number of occasions because I just couldn\u2019t deal with another day of some of the things Nadia was saying about me.<\/p>\n

‘I remember a few times when people had called me that evening, just to check in, and they didn\u2019t know that at that point they pretty much saved my life because I was on the edge.<\/p>\n

‘I didn\u2019t think another day of existing was not something I wanted.
