Nick Kyrgios lambasted the BBC for dropping him from their Wimbledon coverage with the broadcaster announcing their punditry team<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He also criticised the media for attempting to create controversy between himself and American tennis player Eubanks following his comments about the BBC.<\/p>\n

The Australian former world number 13 accused broadcasters of stirring friction after he made remarks regarding the BBC’s decision not to invite him back for commentary duties at this year’s championships.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old, who provided analysis for BBC during last year’s tournament, found himself at the centre of a media storm after expressing disappointment at being excluded from the broadcasting team.<\/p>\n

“I understand they’ve got Chris Eubanks, but he hasn’t beaten the greatest of all time multiple times,” Kyrgios stated.<\/p>\n

“When someone’s beaten Federer, Nadal, Murray and Djokovic and has incredible insights, it’s very strange you wouldn’t want that person adding knowledge to tennis fans.”<\/p>\n

Following backlash from fans, Kyrgios took to social media to clarify his position and defend against accusations of creating animosity with Eubanks.<\/p>\n

The Australian attempted to defuse the situation by explaining his true feelings about the American commentator.<\/p>\n

“The media makes me laugh honestly low key have always enjoyed Eubanks as a commentator, always going to spin what I say and turn it into some sort of rivalry or friction I think if we were on the same panel, would be beneficial to the sport tennis is weird,” Kyrgios wrote on X.<\/p>\n
