Manchester United are looking to add a new midfielder to Ruben Amorim\u2019s side this summer, but one target may move elsewhere.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The early stages of this transfer window have focused on the attacking end of the pitch for Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Matheus Cunha has made the move to Old Trafford<\/a>, while United continue to chase Brentford\u2019s Bryan Mbeumo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony have been made available, while Alejandro Garnacho has been told to leave United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Attacking replacements will be wanted, but Ruben Amorim<\/a> also wants signings in other areas, and recent reports suggested United want to sign a midfielder on loan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Finding a midfielder good enough to improve Amorim\u2019s squad while also being available on loan won\u2019t be easy, so United may need to consider permanent additions.<\/p>\n

Reports from Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws<\/a> suggest that United are \u2018not giving up\u2019 on signing Club Brugge\u2019s Ardon Jashari.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s suggested that AC Milan are leading the race for Jashari and plan to offer around \u20ac30million (\u00a325.5million) for his signature.<\/p>\n

The problem is that Club Brugge are seeking \u20ac40million (\u00a334million) for Jashari, holding out for what would be an outgoing record for Belgian football.<\/p>\n

United are allegedly willing to \u2018go further\u2019 than Milan in the race for Jashari, but the Swiss midfielder finds a move to Old Trafford \u2018less attractive\u2019.<\/p>\n

A lack of Champions League football could be a problem for United, while Jashari is understood to have rejected a move to Fulham.<\/p>\n

Jashari joined Club Brugge from Luzern in 2024 and made a big impact last season with four goals and six assists in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old was a wonderkid in Switzerland, with Sky Germany<\/a> reporting in 2022\u00a0that Swiss sources had likened Jashari to Jude Bellingham in terms of his potential.<\/p>\n

Jashari doesn\u2019t possess the goal threat of Bellingham, but he is growing into a quality player in his own right in Belgium.<\/p>\n

The Mirror<\/a> report that United\u2019s interest is a little more advanced than just admiring glances from afar.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s stated that United have spoken to Jashari\u2019s representatives to discuss a potential move to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

That report backs up the claim that Jashari has rejected a move to Fulham, but also adds in that West Ham United have been snubbed as well.<\/p>\n

Manchester City even considered signing Jashari before landing Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan, who now want Jashari as his replacement.<\/p>\n

Jashari is seemingly in no rush to leave Club Brugge and will only leave Belgium for the absolute right move.<\/p>\n
