{"id":21323,"date":"2025-04-15T06:57:09","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T06:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/21323\/"},"modified":"2025-04-15T06:57:09","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T06:57:09","slug":"law-firm-backs-birmingham-childrens-hospital-as-chosen-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/21323\/","title":{"rendered":"Law firm backs Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital as chosen charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new charity partnership forms part of Fieldfisher\u2019s One Firm Action initiative, an annual company-wide programme supporting communities across the UK and Europe.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/10096e42-3640-40da-871b-1fc204cdddb2.jpeg\"   alt=\"Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity joins Fieldfisher to kick off the firm\u2019s One Firm Action 2025 programme\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"w-full max-w-none\"\/>Birmingham Children&#8217;s Hospital Charity joins Fieldfisher to kick off the firm\u2019s One Firm Action 2025 programme<\/p>\n<p>As part of the programme, all of Fieldfisher\u2019s 26 offices actively participate in fundraising efforts to support charities of their choice.<\/p>\n<p>The Birmingham office has set a fundraising target of \u00a350,000 for Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital Charity, with a schedule of events and activities being planned by the firm\u2019s charity committee.<\/p>\n<p>The Birmingham team previously supported Coventry-based hospice Zoe\u2019s Place as its chosen charity from 2023 to 2024, raising around \u00a340,000 for the charity which provides specialised care and support for babies and infants up to five.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fieldfisher\u2019s \u2018One Firm Action\u2019 initiative was one of the leadership pledges from managing partner, Robert Shooter, to empower colleagues to engage with various charitable causes across Europe and beyond.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The firm\u2019s collective efforts have so far raised more than \u00a3250,000, and with the partnership\u2019s commitment to match funds, the total collective donation stands at<\/p>\n<p>\u00a3526,000 to date.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ranjit Dhindsa, Birmingham office leader and head of employment, pensions, immigration and compliance at Fieldfisher, said: \u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to supporting Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital Charity over the next two years, as their work is so important in helping children and their families access expert treatment, care and support.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an incredibly worthwhile cause, and our charity committee is creating a programme of fundraising events and activities so we can drive as many donations as possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope the money raised will help to support the hospital\u2019s vital work and research, and make a difference to young children and their families in the West Midlands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Helen Miles, head of corporate partnerships at Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital Charity, said: \u201cWe\u2019re incredibly grateful to have been chosen as Fieldfisher\u2019s Charity of the Year and can\u2019t wait to see what we\u2019ll achieve together as this special partnership progresses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFieldfisher\u2019s support will help us continue on our mission to create better experiences for our sick kids, through the improvement of our hospital environment and the funding of new equipment and research.
