Everton are on the search for major squad additions this summer with massive changes taking place on Merseyside.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Moyes<\/a> was able to work his magic after landing back at Finch Farm in January after keeping the Toffees afloat in the Premier League. <\/p>\n

The performances under the 62-year-old will have provided Everton<\/a> fans with a lot of optimism for what could come under the Friedkins.<\/p>\n

Moyes wanted two key signings back in January,<\/a> through a new full-back and winger, but he has been made to wait until the summer.<\/p>\n

Everton played it sensibly in January by only signing Carlos Alcaraz on a short-term loan basis.<\/p>\n

Now the summer window is open, Everton are actively looking to strengthen their options at full-back<\/a>, and one target is now set to become a free agent. <\/p>\n

Among a number of other targets, Everton are eyeing a move for Kyle Walker-Peters<\/a>, with his Southampton future up in the air.<\/p>\n

But there has now been a huge update to emerge from the south coast surrounding the future of the full-back. <\/p>\n

On Wednesday, it was officially announced by Southampton that Walker-Peters<\/a> would be moving on as a free agent. <\/p>\n

The announcement was short and sweet, with Southampton very simply saying:<\/p>\n

\u2018Bringing to an end a five-and-a-half year stay. Thank you to Kyle Walker-Peters, who will leave the club at the end of his contract.\u2019<\/p>\n

It is believed Walker-Peters is keen to return to Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> this summer as they look to add squad-trained players to their squad for their Champions League campaign. <\/p>\n

It is unlikely Walker-Peters would return to north London and be anything more than a squad player, which may not be the case on Merseyside.<\/p>\n

Everton could eye Walker-Peters as Kenny Tete alternative<\/p>\n

There has been a major twist in Everton\u2019s pursuit of a new full-back this summer. <\/p>\n

Fulham have offered Kenny Tete a new contract<\/a> just as he looked set to join Everton as a free agent. <\/p>\n

This could completely change Everton\u2019s plans to add a new right-back in over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Walker-Peters is an option that could make a lot of sense for the Toffees, as he is capable of playing on both sides of the pitch.<\/p>\n

As well as a new right-back, Moyes wants a new left-back to provide Vitaliy Mykolenko some support and competition.<\/p>\n

Walker-Peters could prove a really smart addition. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
