Fenway Sports Group\u2019s multi-club ownership search has moved on from Malaga, with clubs in Portugal and five in Spain being \u2018considered\u2019 according to the latest report. <\/strong><\/p>\n

La Liga clubs \u2018considered\u2019 by FSG<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has long been documented how Liverpool owners FSG are seeking to invest in another football club to expand their portfolio.<\/p>\n

An update on their search has come from Adam Williams for TBR<\/a>, reporting that they have \u201call but killed their interest in Malaga due to administrative issues with the club\u2019s majority Qatari ownership.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead, they are now considering five other Spanish clubs as well as investigating Portugal\u2019s Primeira Liga, with the league\u2019s recruitment pathway from Brazil potentially beneficial to Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Williams writes that FSG have held talks with Getafe, while Levante are their second choice. Also \u201cunder consideration\u201d are Elche, Real Valladolid and Espanyol.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, FSG are also said to be exploring rugby union in England, with Premiership Rugby \u201cconsidering moving to a franchise-style model which experts say is likely to make it far more investible.\u201d<\/p>\n
